About Us

Sally E. Mehaffey is a Certified College Counselor having earned her certification through the University of California Extension College Counseling Certification program. This certification was obtained to expand on her Masters of Science credentials with an emphasis in Career Life Planning. Ms. Mehaffey’s own life experiences include time spent in both academic and business environments.

The college counseling process is initiated with individual hour-long coaching/counseling sessions. The first consultation may be scheduled as early as the ninth grade or as late as the fall of a student’s senior year of high school. Junior college students often seek guidance the summer before their sophomore year if they plan on transferring their junior year of college. Appointments run one hour and are scheduled at times that will be convenient for both students and their parents.

In addition to one-on-one meetings, students will be asked to perform some exploration outside of the individual sessions. Unique assignments will be given to each student and are meant to augment the college search process. Through the combination of counseling sessions and personal exploration, each student is given the opportunity to create their own unique path from high school student to matriculating college freshman.
